waterdrop: (♚going down with the sun)

dream; I saw her smiling at the top of the world..

Effects: A feeling of crushing pain, the pain of death, like you're going to explode, and as recurrent with C.C., that lingering, deep sadness. But there is hope at the end of the effects, like despite the pain, you still believe in something.

--

[The waves of the sea are crashing down on the rocks, as she pulls back, a faceless figure before her. Go, she wordlessly says with her eyes, before she shuts the hatch.

She is powerful and strong in a great machine.

Her enemy is undaunted.

But C.C. can only smile, her voice the calm, amused drawl, with the softly hidden laughter in her voice.]

"I have no intention of dying a lover's death with you.." She says to herself, looking down at the controls as she begins to move, dodging the enemy over the crashing waves. 20 feet, 50 feet, they rise, higher and higher in the light of the clouds and sun.

It's time to end this. She lowers her eyes to the controls once again, moving a few buttons back and forth as she pushes forward on a lever. The Gawain's gold encrusted fingers shoot out with strings, binding themselves tightly to the enemy, Siegfried. Sinking into it's hull, Her body jerks as she attaches the massive weapon to it's own orange body.

She lowers her eyes, as two shining tears roll down her cheeks, meeting at the point of her chin and into the hollow of her throat. The Witch looks up, a faint, tender smile on her face.

They plummet into the ocean.

Lower. Lower..--

C.C. begins to feel her body crash amidst the waves, the dark blue of the sea crushing her bones, her spine, the deeper they plummet. The Siegfried's orange form is like a speck in her vision as she feels a surging pain in her head. Like green sea-weed, tendrils of her hair float like an encompassing halo around her face, and she gives up fighting for air.

This is nothing different..--and yet--

A drop of water, like something from a sink, can be heard as C.C. releases her breath, and closes her eyes, as the water pressure breaks her bones and skull, until the blood runs through the window of the cockpit, and her hand is still outstretched towards the light of the sun.

There are greater things in life then death, and she wants to taste them.

Because...that's why she's C.C. Isn't it?

[ A dream about.. drowning, dying? It's enough to make Homura actually quiet for a moment, almost as if still pondering about the dream. But when she speaks up her voice is just a little less harsh than usually. ]

... It's almost a little ironic, considering the recent rain.

Isn't it? I wonder how much we can expect.

Knowing this place, they will most likely go over the top with it. Apparently they even like synchronizing dream themes with what's going on.

Oh, you thought that was a dream? I suppose you would.

I doubt you were honestly drowning out there right now. Unless you miraculously have the ability to drown in a puddle, then please forgive my assumption.

It was a memory.
Hm, I don't know, there are creative ways to die, I imagine.

[He wouldn't mourn her suffering. It's done with, and besides, she has always been a shadow in the grey background of his life. But the dream does make all the hairs on the back of his neck stand up, has him suppressing a shiver, and it's not because it involves a death.]

...A grim herald. You may be wise to move, quickly.

I'm not the only one in this house.

Precisely why it's important, right?

[identity profile] aevitas.livejournal.com 2011-06-25 08:33 pm (UTC)(link)

So family comes before duty, in this case?

[identity profile] maskmastery.livejournal.com 2011-06-25 08:33 pm (UTC)(link)
[he smiles, faintly.]

Which duty would that be? You have yours, after all.

Do I really?

So they even broadcast memories as dreams, is it? [ Another reason to try and get around having her own shown to the public. ]

Their lack of respect for privacy is quite telling.

So they do.
But that's how it is, and there lies the choice: will you adapt or not?

Although it's still pretty rude, I'll agree.

Am I wrong? I was under the impression that you and my brother were close. [His voice is just shy of being conversational.]

The boy can get himself out of bed.

I'll be waking up Nunnally.

He'd be more likely to thank you for that, I'm sure.

He thanks me all the time.

He's terribly gracious, my little brother. [sarcasm]

Saintly, as you know. It's a pity he didn't finish learning his manners. I deserve better treatment.

Such is the line a witch walks, right?

[identity profile] aevitas.livejournal.com 2011-06-25 09:27 pm (UTC)(link)
A witch doesn't need a line. Not when she can move wherever she likes.

[identity profile] maskmastery.livejournal.com 2011-06-25 09:28 pm (UTC)(link)
I wonder how true that is.

Oh? Doubting my words?

[identity profile] maskmastery.livejournal.com 2011-06-25 09:30 pm (UTC)(link)
You're far too clever for me not to.
